The Mirror of Seasons Quartet
The Mirror of Seasons Quartet is a fantasy epic in four parts. Two volumes were published by Stone Table Books in 2017 and 2018. Contact me to buy a remaindered copy of the first two books, for a decent price. You can still find copies online, but the prices are crazy.
1 - The Ballyman Waits (previously published by Stone Table Books in 2017).
The 'autumn' novel in the series takes place on the last day of Summer on the remote island of Mora. The Regent of Helenay, a powerful High Elf, is attempting to summon the Dreamer of Bally, in a last-ditch attempt to save his people from the encroaching power of the Kildareens. Do you think he'd bother to tell the local wood elves what was going on? Not likely.
2 - The Frost on the Mirror (previously published by Stone Table Books in 2018).
The 'winter' novel takes us back to the shortest day of the year, many years before the first volume. Three elderly magicians have inadvertently turned an ordinary sitting room mirror into a time machine. Lady Wilde has uncovered them, and seeks to claim the mirror for the Kildareen Guild. Can the Regent and his accomplices make sure she doesn't get her hands on it?
3 - The Dreamer in the Pile (complete, awaiting publication)
The 'spring' novel, set on Mayday Eve, tells the story of how a family of ordinary dwarves and two foolish minstrels help the Regent to rescue the Ballyman from his entombment in a pile of earth. The Kildareens can see the future, so the deed must be done without altering their attention...until the final moment.
4 - The Summer of Courage (near completion)
The 'summer' novel is set in the lead-up to the longest day. Three students at the University of Kildare become embroiled in the Regent's plans to destroy the Mirror, once and for all. But Wilde and her ally Faraday have just invented a device that will finally expose where the High Elves have been hiding, a day out of time...
I'm pursuing publication for the whole series. Contact me if you'd like to read samples, or, buy one of the first two volumes.
